🎉 2024 CartonCloud Pallet-Wrapped: Your Year in Review

Now that we are back into the swing of things, it's a great time to take a moment to review the year that was 2024! Our CartonCloud Pallet-Wrapped report provides a comprehensive analysis of your operational performance throughout 2024, compared with 2023. This detailed report helps you:

  • Identify year-over-year growth and operational trends
  • Spot areas of improvement and success
  • Make data-driven decisions for 2025
  • Benchmark your performance against previous periods
  • Visualize your warehouse's evolution and progress

This invaluable snapshot of your operations serves as both a celebration of your achievements and a strategic planning tool for the year ahead.

🛍️ Pick to Tote: Now Available for All WMS Users!

We've launched our Pick to Tote feature across all CartonCloud accounts, bringing powerful high volume e-commerce fulfillment capabilities to your warehouse. This enhancement allows you to:

  • Pick multiple orders simultaneously using a tote-based system, dramatically reducing warehouse walking time
  • Guide pickers to sort items into the correct totes as they go, maintaining accuracy while increasing speed
  • Complete more orders in less time by combining picking routes for multiple orders
  • Manage high-volume picking operations more efficiently

For more information on this feature, visit our Pick to Tote page on CartonCloud Help.

📲 Enhanced Wave Pick Filters: You can now Exclude Products!

We've added exclusion capabilities to our Wave Pick Filters, giving you greater control over your picking operations. This enhancement allows you to:

  • Specifically exclude certain Sale Orders containing particular products from your wave picks
  • Create more targeted picking workflows
  • Handle orders containing certain items separately without disrupting main picking operations
  • Manage complex inventory requirements more effectively

For more information, visit our CartonCloud Help Wave Pick page.

📦 Warehouse Zones: Optimize Your Space and Picking Efficiency

We're excited to introduce Warehouse Zones, a powerful new feature that transforms how you organize and operate within your warehouse space. This addition allows you to:

  • Group warehouse locations into logical zones based on your operational needs
  • Create more efficient picking routes by organising picks by zone
  • Optimize warehouse layout and stock placement
  • Generate zone-specific wave picks for improved efficiency
  • Better manage different storage areas (e.g., cold storage, bulk storage, high-value items)
  • Directed Putaway (coming in Q2) will feature putaway logic based on preferred Warehouse Zones for products.
  • The new zone-based wave picking capability enables you to:
    • Create picks based on specific warehouse zones
    • Minimize picker travel time
    • Improve pick accuracy and efficiency
    • Better distribute workload among warehouse staff

For more information, check out the new feature details on our Release Log.

📍 Location Charge Groups: Clearer Warehouse Organization

We've renamed the Warehouse Location "Group" field to "Charge Group" to better reflect its purpose and avoid confusion with Warehouse Zones (above):

  • Clearer indication of the field's impact on storage charging
  • Better naming alignment with the new Warehouse Zone feature

For more information, visit our CartonCloud Help page on Warehouse Location Charge Groups.

📸 HEIC Image Support: Streamlined image processing for Apple Users

No more image conversion headaches! Our web application now supports HEIC image formats, making it easier for Apple device users to add Documents to their Purchase Orders:

  • Documents on Purchase Orders feature automatic, in-browser conversion from HEIC to JPG
  • Maintained image compatibility across all devices and applications
  • Time saved on manual image conversion tasks
  • Note: The iOS Mobile App already supported uploading HEIC images from your gallery (would convert to JPG prior to upload).

📊 Stock Report Enhancements

We have enhanced the Stock Movement Report so you can now run the report to reconcile Storage Charges, giving you a faster, more accurate way to track storage costs alongside stock levels.

  • Physical Stock (Default) – The traditional view showing stock movements based on arrival dates and pack times.
  • Storage Charges – A new mode designed for reconciling storage charges, using allocation and depletion dates.

With improved historical accuracy, you can now easily track stock status, locations, expiry dates, and custom fields, all with point-in-time precision. This update eliminates time-consuming manual work of reconciling storage charges.

Exciting New Features Coming Soon!

Major improvements to Consignment Items - Feb 2025

We're excited to share that we're about to release some significant enhancements to the Consignment Items tab on the webapp!

What's Changing?

  • We’re eliminating the need to side-scroll on the UI by moving fields to spread across multiple rows.
  • Optimised field widths that better match real-world usage
  • More intuitive field ordering for dimensions (Length, Width, Height)
  • Smarter volume calculations that update automatically as you work
  • Enhanced keyboard navigation for faster data entry

Better Cubic Management The new system will give you more control over your volume calculations, automatically updating based on your dimensions and multipliers, while still allowing for manual adjustments when needed. You'll also have the flexibility to choose which fields should be used for cubic calculations.

Try It Your Way When this feature launches, you'll have the option to test drive the new interface while keeping the ability to switch back to the classic view. This means you can experiment with the new layout at your own pace and provide feedback to help us make it even better.

Stay tuned for this exciting update! We'll be rolling it out soon and can't wait to hear what you think about the improvements.

Mobile-based Wave Pick Generation - Q1 2025

Generate wave picks on the go directly from your mobile app using your preconfigured templates, giving warehouse staff flexibility to function on the fly!

Photos & Documents on Sale Orders - Q1 2025

The popular Photos & Documents functionality is expanding to Sale Orders! Capture photos and upload documents directly through the mobile or web app while packing, enhancing communication with customers and improving warehouse transparency.

API Enhancements - Q1 2025

We're expanding our API capabilities with three powerful additions:

  • TMS Quotes API for consignment estimates.
  • Consignment Update API for real-time updates and changes.
  • Invoice Webhook for seamless external system integration.

Custom General Ledger Mapping - Q1 2025

For WMS Premium customers, our Advanced Accounting Integrations will allow for fine-grain control over how particular charges are mapped into the general ledger of your accounting systems. Currently, all charges related to Sale Orders and Purchase Orders (picking charges, adhoc charges, manually added charges), are linked to a single account code within your accounting software (Pick Pack Income). With Advanced Accounting Integrations, you can control which account code each different type of charge goes to, enabling you to do things such as split incoming from Sale Orders and Purchase Orders into different accounts.

Item-Level Scanning (TMS) - Q2 2025

Enhance visibility throughout the transport process with item-level scanning capabilities for drivers and warehouse staff, enabling precise item tracking during unloading, loading and delivery (POD) operations.

E-commerce Pack Screen - Q2 2025

Transform your high-volume e-commerce operations with our new Pack Screen. This streamlined interface supports split picking and packing workflows, integrated carrier selection, and connected scale support – all designed to boost accuracy and efficiency in busy warehouses.

Directed Put-away - Q2 2025

Our new directed put-away feature will transform your put-away processes by automatically suggesting storage locations to use in real time.
